AUTOMATION

How many items in your home use automation or other innovative technology? Smartphones, smart TVs, and voice assistants using WiFi are common in most homes, so why not add innovative window treatment technology with PowerView® Automation? Let the Hunter Douglas specialists at Monarch Paint & Design Centers help you bring this state-of-the-art system to your home.

Enhanced Safety & Security

Automation eliminates unattractive, unsafe cords that are dangerous to young kids and pets. It can also make your home more secure by allowing you to move your shades or blinds from anywhere in the world to make your house appear occupied. Many would-be burglars will avoid houses if they believe someone is there.

Energy-Efficient Motorized Window Treatments Near Washington D.C.

Everyone is responsible for protecting the environment, and making your home more energy efficient is an excellent way to do your part. Your windows are responsible for up to 30% of your energy usage and costs, and covering them significantly increases their insulation capacity. Opening or closing your window treatments at midday can help you take advantage of the sun’s heat or prevent it from entering your home, and PowerView® Automation allows you to adjust your window coverings even when you’re away.

User-Friendly Operation

PowerView® Automation is an accessible system for people of all ages and abilities. The treatments on tall windows or ones behind furniture will never be challenging to operate again. PowerView® Automation is an excellent solution for skylights, and you can even sync the movement of window treatments across rooms for the ideal amount of light and privacy.

Quality Sleep with Hunter Douglas Automation

A great night’s sleep is essential for your mental and physical health. PowerView® Automation lets you close your shades at night without leaving your bed. You can also do away with the harsh alarm and set your window treatments to open as the sun rises, allowing your body to wake naturally and start your day more pleasantly. Waking naturally means you’re completing sleep cycles, which also means you’ll feel less groggy when you wake up. Using an alarm to wake you during the deep sleep portion of a cycle will make you more likely to hit the snooze button, making you feel more tired and your morning much less enjoyable.

SHADES THAT OPERATE ON YOUR SCHEDULE

Use the Automations feature to set your Scenes to operate independently, whether you are at home or away. You can even schedule Scenes to operate with the sunrise or sunset based on your location.

USE THE PEBBLE® CONTROL

An ergonomic, intuitive handheld control option, the Pebble® Remote allows you to control up to six window treatments individually or in groups. It is available in several stylish colors to match your décor and with a wall mount to ensure you never misplace it.

POWERVIEW® HUB

The PowerView® Gateway is a multi-tasking accessory that enhances the system’s operation. It lets you move your window treatments using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. It is compatible with most smart home systems, so you can control your shades, lighting, music, and more for maximum comfort with minimal effort. The PowerView® Gateway also offers additional benefits, including:

Acting as a range extender for large homes
Ensuring precise movement for rooms with more than four window coverings
Keeping automation schedules on time and in sync
Providing the best whole-home control of window treatments in multiple rooms

EXTEND YOUR SIGNAL

The PowerView® Repeater extends the signal range of the Hub to carry commands throughout your home. Added bonus: its soft glow provides customized illumination when plugged into any outlet.

CONNECT FROM OUTSIDE THE HOME

The Remote Connect™ feature allows you to operate your shades from anywhere in the world using your mobile device.

DESIGNED WITH SAFETY IN MIND

Along with the added convenience of cordless operation, PowerView® Motorization creates a safer environment for homes with young children and pets.

BATTERY POWER MAKES IT EASY

Most PowerView® motorized window treatments are battery-powered, so they’re incredibly easy to install, operate and maintain. The battery pack is hidden behind the headrail so there’s nothing to mar the beauty of your window treatments.

Accolades & Awards

PowerView® Automation was honored with the 2023 Mark of Excellence Award from the Smart Home Division of the Consumer Technology Association. This award recognizes the best custom integration and installed technology across 20 award categories.
The Pebble® Remote received a 2023 iF DESIGN AWARD, one of the most sought-after design awards worldwide. The award is from the iF Design Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes design's importance and social impact.
